Well SUPER is going to be very useful to me since up until now I only had trial converters that only let me do 2-minute chunks. It's also good to know that Coke's sticking copies of their ads up for everyone to mash. Thanks for that. Thanks for sticking in an update feature too, seems to work good. Email me the contest if you get a chance.
You prob don't need this now that you've ordered the DVD but there's a higher quality version on Coca-Cola's own website here. It's Real Media so you'll need something like Orbit or WMRecorder to capture the stream and then SUPER or RMConverter to convert to AVI, Quicktime or whatever. Looking forward to seeing the remix...
Good to hear. I found it interesting at the bottom of their auction that they said they were able to sell the videos because they were in the public domain. Some of the videos were as recent as last year!
Looks like you have to contact someone in the reference department at the Library of Congress, then Coca-Cola archive will grant permission or not. I guess the other route would be to find an independent collector who might have it on VHS.
Hi All,
I'm looking for a nice digital copy of the following Coca Cola commercial for one of my mashups:
It's the classic hilltop ad from 1971 where they sing "I'd like to buy the world a coke"
